Fisk Neptune Processor

Eliminates and/or reduces: TDS, TSS, Heavy Metals, Organics, Inorganics, Hydrocarbons from wastewater

The Fisk Neptune Processor

The patented Fisk Neptune Processor (FNP) reduces and/or eliminates the concentrations of total dissolved solids (TDS), total suspended solids (TSS), hydrocarbons, organics, inorganics, and heavy metals from wastewater resulting form oil & gas production, mining, agriculture and industrial processes.

Treatment Mode & Outputs

The FNP is a patented process using thermal and electro- pulse technologies to treat raw wastewater for reuse as clean brine or take all the way to potable for discharge in irrigation or municipal applications. The system derives its efficiency from both the use of latent heat recovery and a patented flow through process that allows for burning of the chemical lights, e.g. benzene, azylene, removal of residual hydrocarbons, metals and finally salts while also treating sulfides and biological contaminants.

FNP unit description & Scalability

The FNP is a completely portable solution, it sits on a 8 ft. W by 45 ft. L low boy trailer, equipped with self-leveling stanchions for applications without a poured pad or in uneven terrain. The FNP is capable of being transported straight to the site and easily set in tandem for scalability. Two factors to be considered when estimating volume parameters for each FNP are:

  1. The level of contamination of the raw influent wastewater.

  2. The client’s desired result of the output/effluent stream.

The system is tuned to treat influent based on the actual sample water chemistry. In addition, application of the FNP is configured to the desired output of either clean brine, potable water or release to the atmosphere as clean steam.

Each FNP unit can treat between 84,000-126,000 gal per day (2,000-3,000 barrels per day of oil & gas produced water) of influent to potable or as much as 336,000-420,000 gal per day (8,000-10,000 barrels per day of oil & gas produced water) of influent to clean brine.

The FNP now gives our clients the ability to consider multiple options when managing their wastewater problems.

Environmental Impact

FNP is a Zero Liquid Discharge (ZLD) solution. Treated water to potable can be released as clean steam. Remove heavy metals and other waste by-products resulting from coal/gas/oil production. Recovered material and salt is dried and available for disposal to appropriate landfills or sold to commodity markets.

Expected Performance Metrics

  • Total Suspended Solids (TSS) reduced to 50 ppm

  • Total Dissolved Solids (TDS) reduced to 100 ppm

  • Barium reduced to 10 ppm

  • Hydrocarbons reduced to 10 ppm

  • Hydrogen Sulfide (H2S) reduced to non-detectable

  • Biological material reduced to non-detectable

FNP Unit Operation

Operation of the unit uses minimal mechanical components allowing for the inherent reliability during 24/7 operations. Each unit requires a service technician to manage dried and recovered waste streams of disposal, reuse or resale. System monitors influent and effluent via remote SCADA system.
